Under the leadership of GBS Software AG, GBS pay GmbH based in Frankfurt am Main was founded in 2019 as an alliance with NCR with the aim of providing the payment transaction market with “AUTHENTIC”, a PCI certified, customer-centric open banking solution for omni-channel real-time transaction processing. A modern platform solution used worldwide will thus replace the IT landscape in the banking world characterized by the branch structure, significantly shorten the time-to-market for the introduction of new products and service offerings and at the same time achieve significant cost savings.

With the “AUTHENTIC” NCR development, GBS has a software platform that fully meets the requirements of a state-of-the-art IT solution in real-time transaction processing in an open banking ecosystem, including all regulatory requirements. “AUTHENTIC” demonstrates its performance in more than 60 installations all over the world on a daily basis.

Some of the key characteristics of “AUTHENTIC” include the consistent adoption of the customer perspective (customer focus) or the comprehensive support and combination of modern payment systems (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay) with existing traditional core applications. At the same time, GBS pay offers “FRACTALS”, an innovative solution for risk management in the payments market.

Thanks to the modern software architecture of “AUTHENTIC”, the independence of operating systems and the option of pure or hybrid cloud operation, we can not only significantly reduce the time-to-market when introducing new products and services, but also reduce the costs of operating the IT infrastructure by up to 75%.
